there's these people in life
that have not figured out the system yet
that still pay full price
and wake up early
and there's the others
that sleep all day
and make moms grab their children
when passed by
and then there's the few
that are right where they stand
showing no refracting light
that blinds eyes
into seeing
something other than what is
label-free, sugar-free, fat-free
free-free
and somehow these days
all blend into an awful feeling
a hamburger with horse raddish sauce and sauerkraut
blended into a cup
that the world is slowly failing
becuase it has stopped getting worse
or better
rather
it has lodged itself
into today
always promising tomorrow
and never delivering.
