a short prayer
i made an ass of myself
and i didnt ever realize
until i looked at what i had said
looked at how it could have been taken
and then it hit me
and there was no taking it back
there was no backing out of it
there was nothing but shame
for my mouth opening before it thought
the reply
"you dont need to explain yourself to me..."
damn
i felt weak
like i wasnt in charge of my mouth
oh god
take back my words
for they will only make things hard now
